Who Are Bottle Shock?
Want to find out a little bit more about the team here at Bottle Shock? Well look no further - here's a short but sweet introduction to who we are, our backgrounds and the kind of wines we love to drink.
Adam Green - Founder
Adam first fell for wine on a gap year visit to Cape Town and after an eclectic early career which saw a degree in Chinese & History, a few years running charity projects and a Masters in Anthropology he made the jump to wine. He started in retail with Jeroboams before moving to Roberson where he progressed to become Business Development Director and worked on establishing London Cru, London's first urban winery. During this time he has also undertaken his WSET studies winning prizes at both level 3 and diploma level and passed the KEDGE Wine & Spirits MBA.
Spurred on by the opportunity to work with his brother Nate as a supplier to his new restaurant (Rhoda) he launched Bottle Shock in 2016 and then in 2017 made the move to Hong Kong to run the business. Like many in the trade Adam's tastes are pretty varied and he loves discovering new wines and regions; his current favourites includes a vibrant South Africa and producers bucking the conventional style in both Spain and the USA.
